Praying the Rosary, Part II

As mentioned in a previous post, praying the rosary requires concentration. Since most of us live in a time where sustained attention has been reduced to the length of a TV commercial, far less than the fourteen or fifteen minutes that the rosary requires minimally to complete.

If the first strategy I offered does not appeal to you, may I suggest another option, the video rosary! I have also tried this method, whereby I follow a video of the rosary being presented through word and image. The images are lovely and the narrator's voice is very pleasant.

Don't expect, however, to race through the rosary like you are running he marathon. The rosary is presented, instead, like a pleasant walk along a slow, winding river. Think of this time as a gift to yourself and to God. He is worth it!
